2013 NFL Draft quarterback rankings

Andy Lyons

For the first time since the 2008 draft, and the fourth time this century, a quarterback probably won't be taken with the first pick in the NFL Draft. That's largely due to the Kansas City Chiefs trading for Alex Smith. But it's also because there isn't a stand out signal caller this year.

West Virginia's Geno Smith is our top quarterback, and may get taken in the top 10 of the draft. Unless there are some reaches or trades, he could be the only quarterback taken in the first round. After him is the smart, savvy and somewhat weak-armed Matt Barkley. Barkley comes in second because there are fewer questions about him than the signal callers behind him.

Looking for a sleeper this year? Keep an eye on Arizona's Matt Scott. He's refining his technique with quarterback guru George Whitfield and is the most athletic quarterback in the class.
