2013 NFL Draft top 200 big board

With pro days in full swing and the NFL Scouting Combine in the past, it seemed like an appropriate time to update our overall rankings for the 2013 NFL Draft.

The class is heavy at the top with linemen on both sides of the ball. Ten of the top 15 players are offensive or defensive linemen and three more have played defensive end in college. We continue to have Texas A&M left tackle Luke Joeckel at the top spot. He's the safest player in the draft this year. He's not any type of elite athlete, but he is a proficient pass blocker and NFL-ready as a run blocker. Although there are as yet unknown issues with his heart, Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei is closely behind. His college stats don't pop, but he'll be proof why scouting off college performance is a unwise.

It's not until the 18th spot where you get to the best offensive skill position player – West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith. Because there is a lack of sure thing talents on offense this year, the 2013 class often gets knocked as being poor. While that's true for the top of the draft, the depth at quarterback, running back and especially wide receiver is good. Our current top 200 features 18 running backs and 24 wide receivers.
