2013 NFL Draft invite list: Luke Joeckel, Geno Smith to attend

The Texas A&M offensive tackle and West Virginia quarterback could be two players to leave the green room early, but other players may be in for a long wait.

One part of the drama that is the NFL Draft is to watch the reaction of players in the green room backstage as they answer the phone from NFL teams that have decided to draft them. On Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted a list of 19 players that have been invited and elected to attend at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Player Pos School
Luke Joeckel OT Texas A&M
Geno Smith QB West Virginia
E.J. Manuel QB Florida State
Chance Warmack G Alabama
Bjoern Werner DE Florida State
Jonathan Cooper G North Carolina
Sharrif Floyd DT Florida
Lane Johnson OT Oklahoma
Ezekiel Ansah DE BYU
Kenny Vaccaro S Texas
D.J. Fluker OT Alabama
Eric Fisher OT Central Michigan
Menelik Watson OT Florida State
Cordarrelle Patterson WR Tennessee
Xavier Rhodes CB Florida State
Tavon Austin WR West Virginia
Margus Hunt DE Southern Methodist
Barkevious Mingo DE/OLB LSU
Dee Milliner CB Alabama

Perhaps just as dramatic as watching a player answer the phone call that he's been waiting months for is watching the reaction of a player that is the last sitting in the green room after every other attendee has been selected. With that in mind, Margus Hunt, Menelik Watson and E.J. Manuel are the three to watch in that regard, as none landed in the first round of the latest mock draft from SB Nation's Dan Kadar.

Among the top players not scheduled to attend are Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, Missouri defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson and Oregon defensive end/outside linebacker Dion Jordan, the second-, fifth- and seventh-ranked players on Kadar's big board.

In March, Kenny Vaccaro tweeted out a picture of his draft day invite from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
