A few picks ago the Dallas Cowboys got the steal of this year's mock by taking defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins at No. 34 overall. The pick Alfie Crow of Big Cat Country made for the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 38 is not far behind in the steal category.
38. Jaguars: Leonard Floyd, OLB, Georgia

Crow: The Jaguars need all the help they can get in the front seven of the defense, especially at the linebacker level, which is a position they did not address at all in free agency this offseason. Having added their MLB of the future in Myles Jack in the first round, adding a strongside linebacker/edge rusher in Leonard Floyd would seem like the perfect fit. Floyd played inside and out in Georgia’s 3-4 defense in college and has experience blitzing from multiple angles and spots, including looping inside, which is something Jacksonville likes to do. Floyd also has the size, length and athleticism to rush the passer with his hand on the ground in packages, or simply just blitz from the edge from his linebacker position in base packages.
Analysis: Landing a pass rusher and a linebacker early in the draft is about as good as the Jaguars could hope this year. Floyd's versatility will be a critical asset for the defense, even if he begins his career mostly as a pass rush specialist. Floyd grades out as a top-25 pick, so getting him in this range and filling arguably Jacksonville's top need means this choice deserves acclaim.
