The New England Patriots currently hold a 10-3 lead over the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round matchup.
Stephen Gostowski kicked a 37-yard field goal with 10:20 in the second quarter to give the Patriots a seven-point lead. The field goal capped off an 11-play, 65-yard drive that took 3:51 off the clock.
After a slow start, the Patriots are starting to impose their will on the Texans defense. Shane Vereen is stepping up with Danny Woodhead (thumb) currently out, ripping off 36 rushing yards on five carries and adding 37 yards on two receptions.
As for the massive underdogs, the Texans haven't been able to capitalize on opportunities. They settled for a chip shot field goal after a huge opening kickoff and haven't been able to do much since then. Arian Foster has been a non-factor so far, managing just 10 rushing yards on six carries. Houston is in early trouble.
