You know how insanely healthy the NFL is? The league can put something like last night's Bears-Giants game on national TV, and still completely corner the market for viewers.
↵Because let's be honest. Even though we all like to see Jay Cutler get pummeled all night long, that game was NOT enjoyable. But it's further proof: America doesn't care. The same way preseason football routinely dwarfs pennant race baseball, we'll gladly watch two crappy teams play an ugly game of football. Because as the saying goes, "Even an ugly game of football is better than baseball." Right?
↵Anyway, NBC's Sunday Night Football broadcast drew its highest October rating in over a decade last night, more proof that the NFL brand is bulletproof. It's unreal. So, when we're all fighting over Spurgeon Wynn in fantasy leagues next year, watching scabs do their best Bears-Giants impersonation, and still hanging on Cris Collinsworth's every word... Don't say you weren't warned.
