Vince Young's Sunday: Torn Tendon In Thumb, Abrupt Exit From Game, Starting Job Lost

The mercurial NFL career of Titans quarterback Vince Young is on another downswing.

After leaving today's 19-16 overtime loss with injury — later reported as a torn flexor tendon in his thumb — Young compounded matters by leaving LP Field abruptly, with safety Michael Griffin chasing him.

That's not the sort of leadership coaches typically want from players, and Jeff Fisher responded by telling reporters that Young has lost his starting job, injury or no injury. In case you were wondering: at least one Nashville radio personality is already licking his lips for this controversy.

But there's no more frustrating quarterback in the NFL than Vince Young, and this behavior, especially in the midst of a disappointing season from the Titans, won't endear him to anyone.
