Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Michael Vick threw his second interception of the season deep in Houston territory, opening the door for the Texans to take the lead in the third quarter. Matt Schaub and the Texas did just that, driving 86 yards for the touchdown on 18 plays, capped by a three yard Arian Foster touchdown run. Foster is putting together a solid night, rushing for 83 yards and the aforementioned touchdown on 22 carries while adding another touchdown on a 14-yard reception.
With the running game on track and Matt Schaub finding a rhythm, the Texans have come out firing in the second half, scoring 14 unanswered points in the first quarter to take a 24-20 lead after three quarters.
The Houston offense has been able to sustain long drives, keeping Vick and the explosive Eagles off the field and at-bay in the third quarter. The Eagles only ran four plays in the quarter, the last of which was Vick’s interception. In comparison, the Texans ran 24 plays in the quarter, scoring touchdowns both times they had the ball.
We’ve got a game in Philadelphia with the Texans leading the Eagles, 24-20.
