Ben Roethlisberger Will Have Surgery For Broken Nose

New, comment

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens game was once again an instant classic as the Steelers prevailed, 10-6. On the first series of the game, Roethlisberger was given a reminder on why this is the most physical game of the year when Ravens' Haloti Ngata got his arm tangled up in Roethisberger's facemask breaking his nose.

Though he wouldn't miss any action and returned on the next series, Roethlisberger walked off the field with blood coming out of his nose staining his jersey.

Luckily for the Steelers it just looked worse than it really is. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that while he will have surgery on the nose, he's expected to be available next Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Heading into the game, the injury talk surrounding Roethlisberger was about his foot, which was reportedly broken and put him in a walking boot for part of the week. It's fitting that in this type of game, we leave talking about a different Roethlisberger injury.
