The Atlanta Falcons do not have rookie wide receiver Julio Jones for this game, but they seem to be managing just fine with the other players. Matt Ryan found tight end Tony Gonzalez for a 17-yard touchdown in the first quarter. That put Atlanta on the board first.
In the second quarter, Atlanta kicked two more field goals, and they headed into the locker room leading by a score of 13-3 at the half. Matt Ryan was 10-for-14 with 104 yards passing and a touchdown. Running back Michael Turner had 73 rushing yards on 10 carries.
Tennessee struggled to move the ball on the ground. Running back Chris Johnson had just 12 yards on nine first-half carries. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck has 111 passing yards and one interception.
Atlanta has the ball when the second half begins.
