The Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans will clash in Baltimore in the early game Sunday afternoon for a chance to play the New England Patriots in Foxboro, Mass. next week in the AFC Championship. Both teams' offenses feed off the running game, with two of the AFC's Pro Bowl selections in Ray Rice and Arian Foster, and the weather conditions won't be hindering that: Weather.com predicts the conditions will be sunny, near 35 degrees and winds between 10 and 15 m.p.h.
The only effect the weather figures to have is those winds on field goals. The Ravens and Texans both have reliable kickers, so chances are they know how to play the wind. The gusts aren't really powerful enough to have much effect on deep throws, which figure heavily into the Ravens' offense to rookie wide receiver Torrey Smith from big-armed Joe Flacco.
