The Denver Broncos won a playoff game and made it to the divisional round of the 2012 NFL playoffs where they lost to the New England Patriots but there were still questions as to whether Tim Tebow would be the team's starting quarterback entering next season.
The answer, according to Broncos executive John Elway, is yes. Elway confirmed at a Monday press conference that Tebow will enter training camp next season as the Broncos starting quarterback.
"He's earned the right to be the quarterback going into training camp next year."
It's certainly not pretty but it's hard to argue with the results. Tebow went 7-4 as the starter this season and played a pivotal role in their AFC Wild Card victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers and in several other fourth quarter comebacks this year.
He needs to improve his accuracy as he completed just 46.5 percent of his passes this season and he needs to continue to develop in the Broncos passing game.
But, for now, Tebow is your Broncos starting quarterback. I'd imagine they pick up some backup help at some point this year as Brady Quinn could end up leaving.
