Buccaneers vs. Raiders results: Tampa Bay hangs on for wild 42-32 win over Oakland

The Bucs had to hold on for a crazy 42-32 win over the Raiders, despite running back Doug Martin running for over 250 yards and four touchdowns. Carson Palmer threw for over 400 yards and four touchdowns for the Raiders.

It seemed like Doug Martin and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were going to run away with the game, but Carson Palmer and the Oakland Raiders had other plans. The Bucs won the game 42-32, but had to withstand a furious fourth quarter rally by the Raiders to do so. Martin rushed for 251 yards and four touchdowns in the second half, three of those touchdown runs coming from 45, 67 and 70 yards away.

The Raiders, to their credit, did not just give in when Martin started ripping off huge runs. Palmer threw three touchdown passes in the fourth quarter, two to Brandon Myers and one to Marcel Reece, keep them within shouting distance of the Bucs. However, for all the work Palmer did to keep his team in the game, he threw a poor interception to Ahmad Black with less than three minutes remaining. Martin ended the ensuing drive with a touchdown from one yard out, effectively icing the game for the Bucs.

Vincent Jackson and Mike Williams each had a touchdown catch for the Bucs, and Jackson led the team with 84 receiving yards. Marcel Reese led the Raiders with 95 yards and a touchdown on nine receptions.

Fantasy studs and duds

Doug Martin and Carson Palmer both had huge days. Martin set a team record with 251 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries. He also had 21 receiving yards. Palmer ended the day with a line of 39-61 for 414 yards and four touchdowns, but also had three interceptions.

Injury report

Raiders running back Darren McFadden left the game with a leg injury and didn't return. He finished with 17 rushing yards, so he could probably be considered a fantasy dud.

Did they cover?

The Raiders were one-point favorites, so no, they did not cover the spread.
