The Washington Redskins and New York Giants will get reacquainted on Monday night when the two square off at FedEx Field.
Unquestionably, this is the biggest game to date for Robert Griffin III and his young team. Washington is looking to keep momentum going after dispatching the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving to run its record to 5-6. Now, Griffin has the Redskins poised to make a playoff push if they can beat the defending Super Bowl champions.
New York (7-4) is suddenly also feeling good after destroying the Green Bay Packers 38-10 on Sunday night last weekend. Eli Manning has been up-and-down this season, but played terrific against Aaron Rodgers and company.
In the first meeting between these two teams, a classic broke out in an eventual 27-23 Giants victory. Griffin led Washington down the field late and hit Santana Moss with what appeared to be the game-winning touchdown. However, Manning struck back, finding Victor Cruz for a 77-yard score to finish off the Redskins.
