Tim Tebow Trade Destination Will Be His Choice, According To Report

After the deal to send Tim Tebow to the New York Jets for fourth- and sixth-round draft picks reportedly hit a snag because of Tebow's contract, the Jacksonville Jaguars re-entered the mix to trade for the polarizing quarterback. Now, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Denver Broncos have given Tebow the choice to decide which team he will play for in 2012.

If Schefter's sources are to be believed, then the smart money has to be on Tebow choosing the Jaguars. He's already said to have expressed his desire to play near his alma mater in Florida, allegedly saying, "I miss home, I miss the South, and hopefully I'll land somewhere in Florida."

In addition, the Jets just signed quarterback Mark Sanchez to a three-year extension, locking up their incumbent starter long-term, while the Jaguars have had one underwhelming year with top-10 pick Blaine Gabbert at the helm. If Tebow is interested in being a starting quarterback, it's hard to imagine him envisioning New York as the easier place to do it. On the other hand, maybe the notoriously outspoken Tebow enjoys the thought of the New York media spotlight.

Until the papers are filed with the league office, all we can do is speculate. But isn't speculating fun?
