New York Jets Won't Be On 'Hard Knocks,' According To Report

The New York Jets certainly have a lot of media attention on them in 2012. However, it appears they will not be the focus of HBO's "Hard Knocks" series.

The media attention surrounding the trade that sent Tim Tebow to the New York Jets officially reached "circus" level some months ago. The drama surrounding the team and how it will deal with the playing time of Tebow and incumbent starting quarterback Mark Sanchez seemed like it would be a perfect fit for this summer's season of the HBO documentary series "Hard Knocks," but it appears they will not be the focus of the show.

Bob Raissman of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets will not be the team featured in this year's edition of "Hard Knocks." HBO is officially remaining mum on which team will be featured.

"We still have time to decide," the spokesman said. "And we, and our NFL Films partners, haven't made any decisions yet."

While the identity of the featured team should be revealed within the next couple of months, it appears we will need to wait a while longer to find out.
