Josh Gordon To Browns: Should've Seen This Coming

The first pick in the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft was Josh Gordon, receiver out of Baylor. The Cleveland Browns used a 2nd round pick on him which means they win the rights to Gordon but must give up their 2013 2nd round pick.

In the end, we should've known the Browns were going to pick Gordon. Tony Grossi, a reporter who covers the Browns, sent this tweet out on Thursday:

We're assuming that somebody was involved in selecting Gordon in the 2nd round.

Gordon now joins a Browns team that features Greg Little, a 2011 2nd round pick. Little was impressive in his rookie season with 61 receptions and 709 yards receiving, along with two touchdowns. The Browns now hope those two can grow together in an offense that also has a new quarterback in rookie Brandon Weeden.

NFL Network's Albert Breer cautions that Gordon could take some time to develop.

In 2010, the last full year he played, Gordon has 42 receptions for 714 yards in Baylor's offense directed by Robert Griffin III.

The Browns were reportedly one of the teams interested in another Baylor receiver, Kendall Wright, during last April's draft, but he was selected by Tennessee.
