The Baltimore Ravens and Joe Flacco have been working on a new contract for quite a while during the 2012 NFL offseason, but talks have ramped up in the past few days to where many feel a deal will get done before the team heads into training camp.
"The Ravens have gotten very aggressive with their contract negotiations with Flacco and I was able to confirm that they're about 75 percent sure they can get this done by training camp, which is really over the next week," ESPN's Chris Mortensen said. "And if not by training camp, pretty early into training camp."
Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti has said they would like to get Flacco locked down before he enters the final year of his rookie contract.
Flacco was originally selected by the Ravens in the first-round of the 2008 NFL Draft and has started every game for the Ravens since he was drafted, helping the team make the playoffs in each of his first four seasons.
