Training camp is underway for the Washington Redskins, but it appears as though they already have a bit of bad news. Right tackle Jammal Brown is still suffering from a hip issue that has plagued him since last season.
Stephen Whyno of The Washington Times reports that Brown has been placed on the physically unable to perform list. He is still suffering from hip soreness, the same issue that kept him out of four games in 2011.
"You knew it was sore. You knew it could happen at any time, something like this," coach Mike Shanahan said. "You're just hoping it's a little flare-up, nothing major."
Tyler Polumbus will take the snaps with the first string while Brown is out. He will compete with Maurice Hurt and Willie Smith for the job until Brown is able to return.
