The New England Patriots placed rookie running back Jeff Demps on injured reserve and cut 22 players to get down to the NFL minimum 53 players on their roster Friday.
Demps, a rookie free agent out of Florida, injured his leg in Wednesday's game against the New York Giants.
Here is the full list of players the Patriots cut Friday: wide receivers Deion Branch, Jeremy Ebert, Kerry Taylor and Jesse Holley; offensive linemen Dustin Waldron, Dan Koppen, Matt Kopa, Darrion Weems, Derek Dennis and Jeremiah Warren; defensive linemen Aaron Lavarias and Marcus Harrison; quarterback Brian Hoyer; defensive backs James Ihedigbo, Derrick Martin, Sergio Brown and Malcolm Williams; fullback Eric Kettani; tight ends Alex Silvestro and Tyler Urban; and linebackers Jeff Tarpinian and Niko Koutouvides.
