The Washington Redskins' defense, which has scored the team's only touchdown so far today, could now be without cornerback Cedric Griffin, who has come out of the game with an injured hamstring.
Griffin injured the hamstring late in the first quarter and, according to the team, his return is questionable.
The Redskins are trailing the Cincinnati Bengals,14-7, after one quarter in the nation's capital. Cincinnati has already taken shots at the Washington secondary, scoring on passing plays of 48 and 73 yards, the second coming after Griffin left the game.
Washington has given up 155 yards through the air already in the first quarter. Cincinnati converted six first downs in the first quarter while the Washington offense has struggled, only gaining 43 yards and picking up three first downs.
