The Chicago Bears have been granted permission to interview Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS. Bevell joins a growing list of candidates being interviewed by general manager Phil Emery, including Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy and Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong. Montreal Alouettes head coach Marc Trestman and Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians are also reportedly scheduled to interview with Chicago.

Bevell has been the offensive coordinator in Seattle for two seasons, and has helped grow the offense quickly with rookie quarterback Russell Wilson. Bevell has extensive experience coaching in the NFL North, as he spent five years as the offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings, and six seasons as an assistant and quarterbacks coach with the Green Bay Packers.

The Bears fired head coach Lovie Smith on Dec. 31 after nine seasons in charge in Chicago, which included three playoff appearances and one Super Bowl appearance.
