Week 5 NFL preview: Lions vs. Packers

The Lions are 3-1 and leading the NFC North, while the division rival Packers have started just 1-2. But the Packers have won 14 of their 15 meetings, so this will be more hotly contested than you might expect. Matt Ufford previews the game and makes his pick.

The Detroit Lions have jumped out to an early division lead, but still have to contend with a dangerous Green Bay Packers squad that is better than their 1-2 record. The Packers' rushing attack comes back healthy after a bye week and should help balance an attack led by Aaron Rodgers. Matthew Stafford has plenty of offensive weapons of his own, and will look to get Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush involved early and often.
