Already without starter Steven Jackson, the Falcons are now without Jason Snelling after the running back suffered a concussion against the New York Jets. The team tweeted that Snelling would not return to the game.
Jason Snelling injury: Falcons RB out with a concussion
The Falcons took another hit at running back and are now without Jason Snelling.

Snelling was splitting time with Jacquizz Rodgers before suffering the injury late in the game. He left the game following Atlanta's possession to open the fourth quarter. According to the NFL's concussion protocol, Snelling would have had to pass an initial concussion test in order to return to the game. Since he is ruled out, there is a chance he failed his initial test and will instead have to go through further testing next week.
Atlanta wasn’t able to muster much of a rushing attack against the Jets. Snelling carried the ball seven times for 13 yards before he exited. Rodgers had more success and was getting the bulk of the carries, including a pair of touchdown runs.
Jackson missed his third straight game due to a hamstring injury.
