Broncos muffed punt sets up Patriots OT win

The Broncos botched a fourth-quarter punt return, setting up a Patriots win.

Overtime started with the wind. It proceeded to get weirder from there.

The Patriots were forced to punt with around three minutes left in overtime. With the ball almost to it's landing spot, Wes Welker tried to wave off the punt. Too late. His teammates didn't get the signal in time, and Tony Carter ended up touching the ball on the bounce.

New England got the ball back on the Broncos 13-yard line with three minutes left. That set up the easy field goal.

The AFC race just got interesting:
