Uffsides Week 13 preview: Saints vs. Seahawks

Can Drew Brees and the Saints' high-powered offense give the Seahawks their first home loss since 2011? Will suspensions in their secondary take the teeth out of Seattle's defense? The New Orleans Saints are visiting the Seattle Seahawks on Monday in a battle for NFC supremacy. The Seahawks currently hold the No. 1 seed in the conference at 10-1 overall, but the Saints could take the spot away with a win. The Saints are 9-2 overall behind a rejuvenated defense that has gone from historically bad in 2012 to one of the league's best in 2013.

The Seahawks will take on the Saints' high-powered offense with a depleted secondary. Brandon Browner is hurt and facing a year-long suspension, and Walter Thurmond is out four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The Seahawks will have the advantage of playing at CenturyLink Field, where they have won 13 straight games.

With all due respect for Broncos-Chiefs, this game is arguably the weekend's best. Drew Brees, Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman and Cameron Jordan are necessary viewing, even more so with postseason home-field advantage on the line.
