Uffsides Week 13 preview: Cardinals vs. Eagles

The Cardinals have found a solution for winning games: tough defense and Carson Palmer not throwing interceptions. The Eagles, meanwhile, skip the defense and have gotten hot by committing to Nick Foles (16 touchdowns, zero interceptions). Who has the edge? Matt Ufford and the crew preview the game and make their picks.

Arizona has one of the league's best defenses, but it's rarely talked about. The Cardinals have a unit that is opportunistic, aggressive and talented in the secondary -- now it's on Nick Foles to prove why he's one of the hottest quarterbacks in the league and solidify his team's spot in the playoffs.

Defense is a huge reason why the Cardinals have been successful and when paired with new-found reliability from Carson Palmer the team becomes fearsome. Arizona has won four games in a row, including a signature win over the Indianapolis Colts. Now they're poised to take a step forward in the NFC West and try to supplant the San Francisco 49ers for second place.

There's a lot on the line for Philadelphia too. Pressure is on to stay in step with the Dallas Cowboys, and one of the league's top offenses could be let down by its defense if the Eagles are unable to stop Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd.
