NFL predictions: Expert picks for Week 10

Could the Bucs get their first win? Could the Falcons upset the Seahawks? Some of SB Nation's NFL experts think so.

Although there is a clear upper echelon in the NFL, Week 9 proved anything can still happen in any given week. Few, if any, picked the 0-7 Buccaneers to knock off the 7-1 Seahawks in Seattle and it almost happened, with the Seahawks needing to rally from 21 down to win in overtime.

Green Bay was nearly a unanimous pick over Chicago. Then, Aaron Rodgers got injured on the first series and the Bears went on to pull the road upset. Picking NFL games is very difficult, but that didn't stop SB Nation's experts from attempting to do so once again in Week 10.

There are a few Week 10 matchups with major playoff implications, but SB Nation's experts don't see three of the games as much of a contest. In the AFC, Denver will travel to San Diego for a key AFC West game. The Chargers have been somewhat of a surprise this season and at 4-4 are in the thick of the AFC wild card race. Despite being at home, and having a passing attack which could challenge Denver's defensive issues, all six of SB Nation's experts picked Denver.

In one of the top NFC matchups of the week, the 49ers (6-2) will host the Panthers (5-3). Riding a four-game winning streak, the Panthers are arguably playing as well as any team in the NFC. The Panther defense is in contention for the top unit in football while Cam Newton is playing the best football of his career. Despite all of that, none of the six predicted the Panthers to make it five straight with all of SB Nation's experts picking the 49ers. San Francisco isn't expected to make up much ground in the NFC West though, with five of the six experts picking Seattle to improve to 9-1 with a win against Atlanta.

It will be a matchup of division leaders in New Orleans on Sunday Night Football with the Saints (6-2) taking on the Cowboys (5-4). Once again, the experts are in agreement, with all five picking the Saints. If that pick proves to be correct and the 49ers beat Carolina like predicted, the Saints would open a two-game lead in the NFC South. A loss could drop the Cowboys into a tie in the NFC East with four of the six experts picking the Eagles to improve to 5-5.
