Buccaneers vs. Saints 2013 odds and lines: New Orleans favored in season finale

The Saints are favored in their matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Saints will host the Buccaneers in the final game of the regular season. While the Saints have been productive this season, they still need to beat the Buccaneers to make the playoffs. Also, if New Orleans wins and Carolina loses to Atlanta, the Saints will then become the NFC South champions. The Buccaneers' only thing to play for is to ruin the Saints' playoff chances. The Saints are considered a 12.5-point  home favorites, according to OddsShark.

The over/under for the matchup is 47 points. The Saints are 5-10 with the over/under this season, while the Buccaneers are 7-8 when it comes to matching total points. New Orleans is averaging 24.8 points per game, while the defense is allowing 19.1 points to opposing teams. Tampa Bay is averaging 18 points per game, while 23.1 points are being allowed on defense.

The Buccaneers are 6-9 against the spread, while the Saints are 7-7-1 on the season in the same category. However, New Orleans is 1-4-1 in the last six games against the spread.
