Tickets can be had for as low as $1,132 for a seat in section 63 -- -upper deck in the corner of the end zone. While that doesn't qualify as "cheap" for most people, it is a bit lower than the $1,368 for the cheapest ticket quoted Thursday.

Nosebleed corner seats make for a less than ideal viewing experience, unfortunately. For something a bit better, say, club level along the 30-yard line, a ticket will run $3,642. Those looking to splurge for the absolute best seats at the Super Dome can spend as much as $11,495. A seat on the 40-yard line in row 18 in Section 143 costs $5,222. That's not bad considering where prices were early in the week.

Things are moving in the right direction for fans as kickoff approaches, but no matter what they will be shelling out a hefty sum for a hopefully once-in-a-lifetime experience.
