Here's information on the kickoff time for Super Bowl XLVII.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Set your countdown clocks for 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday evening, because that's the time for the opening kickoff of Super Bowl XLVII between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.

The game will air on CBS and, like every year, features hours upon hours of coverage on Sunday leading up to the beginning of the big showdown. The first program on CBS, Road to the Super Bowl, begins at 11 a.m. ET, and the network jumps into coverage from there. The official kickoff show is set to start at 6 p.m.

Before kickoff and after all the pre-game shows, events such as the coin toss and national anthem also get presented on a higher stage. Singer-songwriter Alicia Keys will be performing The Star-Spangled Banner and then, probably after a commercial break, the ball gets teed up to begin the Super Bowl and the final road towards crowning a new NFL champion.
