2013 'Monday Night Football' schedule opens with Eagles-Redskins, Texans-Chargers

The Monday Night Football schedule is finally out. How many times will you see your favorite team on ESPN this year?

ESPN has officially released its Monday Night Football schedule for the 2013 NFL season.

Following their stellar 2012 seasons, and Super Bowl appearances, both the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers find themselves on Monday Night Football, but interestingly it's the 49ers who get two games -- while the Ravens get one. They are joined by the Atlanta Falcons, Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins, and San Diego Chargers, all of whom also have two games.

The most pivotal Monday night game is likely to be in week 16, when the 49ers host the Falcons. If both teams are as good as expected, it's possible the final prime-time game of the season will have huge implications for the NFC playoff picture, and potentially home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

There's a widespread belief that the balance of power in the NFL rests in the NFC, and this was represented by the spread of games on ESPN. Of the 34 teams playing on Monday Night Football this year, 21 come from the NFC while only 13 are in the AFC.

Here's the complete, week-by-week schedule:
