Less than an hour into the Dallas Cowboys' first practice of training camp, defensive end Tyrone Crawford was seen being carted off the field with an apparent lower leg injury, according to the team's Twitter account.

Though details of the injury are unknown, initial reports indicate an Achilles issue.
Crawford had a minimal impact last season in his first year out of Boise State, but was expected to be a major contributor to the Cowboys' defense in 2013. A talented and versatile player, Crawford was projected to see time at both end and tackle this season.
It has been a weekend of bad injury news for the Cowboys, who were forced to place both defensive tackle Jay Ratliff and offensive guard Mackenzy Bernadeau on the preseason physically-unable-to-perform list after both suffered hamstring injuries while undergoing conditioning tests on Saturday.
