Now that Victor Cruz is locked up by the Giants, what's next? Hakeem Nicks is. Cruz was quoted as saying, "Hakeem's his own man. He's going to make his own decisions. But I'm definitely gonna see if I can get him to stay with me."
The rest of the league chimes in on Cruz's new deal:
- Cruz's new deal could impact Randall Cobb's next deal in Green Bay. Acme Packing Company looks at the takeaways in the Cruz situation, compared to Cobb, who will have his own situation coming up.
- Cruz's deal won't impact A.J. Green's new deal, which will be coming sometime before he hits free agency after the 2014 season. Cincy Jungle notes Green's contract will be much higher. "We're thinking that Green's eventual contract will either set the market at the position, or lean against Calvin Johnson and Larry Fitzgerald money of something in the neighborhood of $15 million per season and $45-50 million guaranteed," Cincy Jungle writes.
- Cruz has produced more than Bucs receiver Mike Williams in two years, but his deal could raise the price on Williams' eventual deal. "It means Williams likely won't get the $8.5 million per year deal Cruz received," Bucs Nation writes, "but he'll certainly get a contract closer to that than the $6 million per year deal I had projected earlier this offseason."

Rex Ryan actually went running with the bulls in Spain. "It's further confirmation of my belief though that Rex is one of the coolest people to hang out with," Gang Green Nation writes, "and it's great to see that he's still holding all that weight off.
