Tom Brady has officially "recovered" from his minor knee injury; he played the entire first quarter of the New England Patriots' ongoing preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The knee held up fine and he played quite well.
Brady led the Patriots to a touchdown on their opening drive, completing his first eight passes, including a 26-yard touchdown pass to Danny Amendola to cap off the drive. He left with only one incompletion, finishing 11 of 12 for 107 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.
He gave way to Ryan Mallett in the second quarter.
Needless to say, Patriots fans can safely exhale, as crisis has successfully been averted. Brady's minor injury in practice (that shut down some betting sites in the usual overreaction) is nothing to worry about.
