New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz left the team's preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday with a foot injury.
Cruz immediately went to the locker room for X-rays after the injury. Before exiting the game, Cruz did not have a single catch.
The Giants got wide receiver Hakeem Nicks back from injury on Sunday but the two stars can't seem to stay on the field together. Cruz signed a six-year contract extension during the offseason after two standout years in New York.
At this point, the Giants will be waiting for the results of the X-rays. Cruz has been durable throughout his three-year career, catching over 80 passes the past two seasons.
UPDATE: The X-rays on Cruz' foot were negative. He has a bruised heel, so the Giants appear to have dodged a bullet.
