The Indianapolis Colts announced the release of 22 players on Saturday. Two of the players include offensive tackle Ben Ijalana and defensive tackle Drake Nevis, the team's second and third-round picks in the 2011 NFL Draft.
The other players released by the Colts on Saturday included the following:
Outside linebacker Daniel Adongo, safety Larry Asante, center Thomas Austin, cornerback Marshay Green, defensive end Lawrence Guy, quarterback Chandler Harnish, fullback Robert Hughes, tight end Dominique Jones, wide receiver Jeremy Kelley, linebacker Josh McNary, cornerback Sheldon Price, wide receiver Jabin Sambrano, wide receiver Lanear Sampson, linebacker Monte Simmons, offensive tackle Bradley Sowell, defensive tackle Martin Tevaseu and offensive tackle Lee Ziemba.
Offensive tackle Emmett Cleary, linebacker Shawn Loiseau and cornerback Daxton Swanson were waived-injured, too, meaning they will revert to the Colts' injured reserve list if they are unclaimed on waivers.
Nevis was a third-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, but played in just 14 games during his first two seasons in the NFL.He started three games last year before being sent to the injured reserve with a hand injury.
