Sure, the Seattle Seahawks have steadied the boat with three consecutive wins. But look at who those have come against: the 3-6-1 Carolina Panthers, the 0-9 Oakland Raiders and the 3-6 New York Giants. Not exactly the toughest trio of opponents. For the Seahawks to re-establish themselves as one of the NFL's best, they need to knock off a worthy foe.
Enter the Kansas City Chiefs, who are currently on a four-game winning streak.
The Seahawks ship out to Arrowhead this weekend, when they'll face Kansas City in a battle of 6-3 teams. The matchup provides plenty of opportunities for Seattle to prove its resurgence -- as well as a slew of pitfalls that could drop it back even further behind the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West. Can Marshawn Lynch move the ball against one of the league's best defenses? Can the Seahawks' D contain Jamaal Charles? Can they handle a dose of their own medicine in a raucous stadium that recently snatched Seattle's title as loudest venue?
NFL experts are torn on predicting the winner. ESPN and CBS Sports' panelists are siding with Kansas City with a combined margin of 16 to 5. The six experts at Fox Sports are split right down the middle. SB Nation's panel is leaning toward Seattle, with six of the eight taking the Seahawks.
