The Pittsburgh Steelers are 6-4 and sitting on the fringe of the AFC playoff race, but are still the pick to win this week.

Despite a winning record, the Steelers are third in the AFC North, trailing the Cleveland Browns by a game and the Cincinnati Bengals by a half-game. With six games left on the schedule, Pittsburgh still faces Cincinnati twice but has to deal with the Tennessee Titans on Monday night.

The Steelers are a team which survives on elite coaching and terrific quarterback play. The roster is limited in certain areas such as secondary and offensive line, but Pittsburgh is viable thanks to Ben Roethlisberger having a career year. Roethlisberger has thrown for 23 touchdowns already, with his career-high at 32. Defensively, the unit has been able to generate productivity with James Harrison and Cameron Heyward tied for the team lead with four sacks. Lawrence Timmons has also been a stalwart against the run game, racking up 91 tackles.

Tennessee is struggling to produce offensively, mostly because of a revolving door at quarterback. Through their first seven games, the Titans tried to make Jake Locker and Charlie Whitehurst work, but neither could get the job done and were ultimately replaced by Zach Mettenberger. The unit ranks next-to-last in yardage per game, only better than the Oakland Raiders.

The fine folks over at USA Today all believe the Steelers will take care of business in primetime. The same can be said of the experts at ESPN, with Pittsburgh sweeping the predictions. There are some who think the Titans will pull the rare home upset, with Pete Prisco and Ryan Wilson riding with Tennessee at CBS Sports. The opinion is split on whether the Titans can cover the 5.5-point spread.

Here at SB Nation, nobody picked the Titans. All seven of our experts are siding with Big Ben to win an important game and keep the Steelers on schedule for a playoff spot.
