The Detroit Lions suspended C.J. Mosley for two weeks and sent him home from London last week. Now, we have an idea of why, as ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports the defensive tackle was caught with marijuana in his hotel room overseas after he disconnected a smoke alarm.
Mosley received a two-game suspension from the Lions for what was called "conduct detrimental" and a "violation of team rules," although specifics were not provided by the team. With Mosley out of the lineup, the Lions faced the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8 with only Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley and Caraun Reid in rotation at defensive tackle, but still managed to keep the Atlanta offense under 300 yards of total offense in a 22-21 victory.
