Super Bowl XLVIII is underway and we already have a huge upset. The Seattle Seahawks scored a safety on the Broncos first offensive play of the game. Bovada was offering odds of +4000 on Seahawks safety as the first score of the game. That means, if you bet $100 on a Seahawks safety, you just won $4,000.
The Broncos opened on their own 15, and their center fired the ball away from Manning on the first play of the game. Knowshon Moreno jumped on the ball in the end zone to prevent a Seahawks defensive touchdown to start the game.
The Seahawks came into this game as 1 1/2 point underdogs, but a two point start and the ball is as good a way as any to start it. There are nerves and jitters across the board, but getting that first score will be a big help for them. There were multiple reports that a lot of late money came in on the Seahawks. The line opened at Broncos -3, but was cut in half this weekend.
You could also bet on there being any kind of safety in the game. If you bet that there would be any safety, you likely got +550 odds.
