The sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft has come to an end, and we're into the seventh and final round. It's been exciting thus far, with most of the top guys off the board. But there are still some big names that haven't yet been taken, notably anybody from Texas (as everyone is pointing out ... everywhere).
NFL Draft
As usual, the most interesting picks this late come at the quarterback position. The New York Jets added a quarterback in Tajh Boyd at No. 213 overall. Boyd is very, very talented, but pretty raw and could actually push for playing time early on in his career. Geno Smith is hardly a guarantee and Michael Vick gets injured plenty ... it's conceivable to think that Boyd could play relatively soon.
Following that pick, the Rams took a quarterback in Garrett Gilbert of SMU. The Rams are likely giving Sam Bradford one more year to make things happen, but if he doesn't pan out, the Rams could be looking at a younger player to potentially earn the role. Here are picks 206-220:
Pick | Team | Player | Position | School |
206 | New England Patriots | Jemea Thomas | CB | Georgia Tech |
207 | Denver Broncos | Matthew Paradis | C | Boise State |
