New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola left the team's game against the Tennessee Titans with a knee injury Sunday. Amendola was slow to get up and was limping after a return. He went to the locker room to get checked out and the Patriots announced his return as questionable with a knee injury.
Amendola did not return to the field when the second half got underway for New England. He was eventually downgraded to out.
Amendola had one catch for 3 yards prior to sustaining the injury. In the first half alone, quarterback Tom Brady found James White for seven catches, 71 yards and a touchdown. Brady also completed multiple passes to Brandon LaFell and Rob Gronkowski.
The Patriots are doing well in the air without Amendola being a big factor, but he is still an important piece of an offense that is already without Julian Edelman, who is dealing with a foot injury and was listed as doubtful for Sunday's game. He was declared inactive.
Amendola was listed on the injury report with a knee injury and was probable for Sunday's game.
