The Seahawks have been on a historic tear offensively over the past five weeks and Russell Wilson has been damn near unstoppable, but all that success went off the rails in the first quarter of their matchup with the Rams Sunday.
After the Seahawks lost two yards on their first drive, the Rams took advantage of good field position and got onto the board first with a Greg Zuerlein field goal. Seattle's second drive was somehow worse.
It started out with this ... snap? I'm not clear on the physics of how this happened, but Christine Michael's heads up play salvaged what could've been a turnover.
However, it'd go from bad to worse for Seattle. Two plays later, on third and short, Wilson would hand off to Will Tukuafu, who fumbled as he tried to bully through the line. It was recovered by Rams' linebacker Akeem Ayers.
Ayers rumbled and tumbled 46 yards for the touchdown, breaking several Seahawks' tackle attempts along the way.
The Rams hold an early 10-0 lead after one quarter.
