The Kansas City Chiefs haven't defeated the Denver Broncos since the final week of the 2011 season and carry a six-game losing streak against the defending AFC West champions. However, the experts believe the Chiefs will finally put an end to that streak Thursday night.
While the Broncos eked out a win against the Baltimore Ravens, the usually dominant Denver offense looked anything but with Peyton Manning at the helm. He finished the game with 175 yards passing, no touchdowns and an interception that was returned by Jimmy Smith for a touchdown.
The Chiefs had no problem scoring against the Houston Texans in Week 1, jumping out to a 27-6 lead with three touchdown passes from Alex Smith. Although Kansas City was shut out in the second half, the team's performance impressed many and its elite pass rush -- led by Justin Houston -- could provide the same problems for the Denver offense that the Ravens did in Week 1.
Over at CBS Sports, six of eight panelists are taking the Chiefs to win. Only Pete Prisco and Jared Dubin are taking the Broncos to extend a 12-game road winning streak in divisional games, which is the longest of all time.
SB Nation's team isn't giving the Broncos any chance, though. The entire seven-man panel is picking the Chiefs to win and the OddsShark computer is also going with the home team.
