Prior to the start of the season, it was starting to look like it might be the Arizona Cardinals' year. They looked better on paper, Carson Palmer had been excellent in his career resurgence and the rest of the NFC West isn't particularly great outside of the Seattle Seahawks.
But they're 1-2 to start the season and actually trail the Los Angeles Rams, the team they will play host to on Sunday afternoon.
Arizona lost a very close game to the New England Patriots in Week 1, and then blew out the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2. Going into Week 3, they were heavily favored against the Buffalo Bills, but they ended up being dominated in the second half and ultimately fell in that matchup.
The Rams, meanwhile, own a quality win over the Seahawks and also just beat the Buccaneers themselves. Palmer has struggled big time, throwing four interceptions against his five touchdowns. He's also completed just 57.3 percent of his passes, a definite issue at this stage.
But they're still the Cardinals, and experts around the Internet tend to think the Cardinals will get back on the horse with a big win over the Rams on Sunday.
Over at CBS Sports, you'll find nobody who thinks the Rams will make it, with all eight experts siding with Arizona. It's the same deal at ESPN, where all nine of their experts think the Cardinals will come out on top.
Here at SB Nation, it's the same situation.
