NFL power rankings, Week 9: Nobody knows if the Packers and Seahawks are good anymore

UPDATE: We've now added three more rankings to the list ... confusing the picture even more!

There are few things every NFL fan enjoys more than weekly power rankings. They're basically our only way to measure an individual writer's subjective opinion about all 32 teams. What would we do without them? I'm not sure, but if there's a world without NFL power rankings, I don't want to live in it.

This week's power rankings are all about the Cowboys. They checked in at No. 2 in two of the rankings collected so far. Jerry Jones' team is No. 3 in SB Nation's Week 9 power rankings, but it's clear that most of the NFL media world agrees they're now the best team in the NFC.

Minnesota was the last best team in the NFC, but two losses in a row, including Monday's flop against the underdog Bears, dropped them to the sixth and seventh spot on some lists.

Nobody can touch New England. It's the one thing the NFL pundit class seems to agree on. I'm sure a dominant Patriots team rolling up opponents week after week won't get old at all. Nope. No way. The takes may get hotter, but there's just no reasonable cause for putting them anywhere below the first spot.

Critics are more split on the Packers and Seahawks. One outlet has Green Bay as high as No. 7. We put them at 15 this week. Seattle is as high as fourth and as low as 10th in one set of rankings.
