NFL scores 2016: Giants keep pace in NFC East with narrow win over Bengals

As we close the door on Week 10 of the NFL season, the postseason race is starting to sort itself out. The Baltimore Ravens climbed one step closer to earning a playoff berth by beating the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football to take a lead in the AFC North, and several teams improved their position Sunday.

There were eight games in the 1 p.m. ET slate with a pivotal NFC game between the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles on tap. The Eagles ended a two-game losing skid with the 24-15 win and are back above .500 again. Meanwhile, the Vikings continued their skid with their fourth straight loss, falling to 5-3-1 Washington.

The Denver Broncos topped the New Orleans Saints, but not without a little controversy. The Saints were attempting the go-ahead extra point, but the Broncos blocked it and brought it back for the game-winning score. The officials reviewed the play to see if Denver's Will Parks stepped out of bounds on the return, but they upheld the call. Broncos win, 25-23.

Elsewhere, the Kansas Chiefs came back to beat the Carolina Panthers in an ending that had EVERYTHING, and the Los Angeles Rams won for the second time this season without scoring a touchdown. Marcus Mariota has the Tennessee Titans back to .500 with a win over the free-falling Green Bay Packers.

In the second group of games, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys gave us perhaps the best game of the season. Dak Prescott led the Cowboys into Pittsburgh, where the Steelers were trying to end a three-game losing streak. It looked like the Cowboys might seal a victory when Ezekiel Elliott scored a touchdown with less than two minutes left to give the Cowboys the lead. Then, the Steelers drove right down the field and Ben Roethlisberger hit Antonio Brown on a fake spike touchdown to give them the lead.

But the Cowboys weren't done, and Elliott struck again, this time sprinting untouched for a 32-yard game-winning touchdown to break the Steelers' hearts.

To close out the day on Sunday Night Football, the New England Patriots host the Seattle Seahawks gave us a Super Bowl rematch for the ages. Once again, the game came down to the 1-yard line. This time, the Seahawks came out on top.

On Monday night, the New York Giants earned a huge home win over the Cincinnati Bengals to stay in second place in the NFC East. New York might have a tough time catching up with Dallas, but these wins will be crucial if the team wants to land a wild card spot.

Injuries

Eagles cornerback Nolan Carroll was ruled out of the game with a concussion.

Lamar Miller left the Texans game with what appeared to be an ankle injury but later returned to action.

Kyle Long has an ankle injury and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.

Punter Andy Lee left with a hamstring injury and did not return, leaving kicker Graham Gano to handle punting duties.

Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes did not return after leaving with a possible concussion.

Vikings tackle Jake Long is likely done for the season with a torn Achilles injury. Long is the third offensive tackle the team has lost this season.

Larry Fitzgerald left briefly against the 49ers after getting flipped, but he was OK.
