With Thanksgiving in the rearview window, the NFL season entered its final stretch run in Week 13. Plenty of teams are still alive in the playoff chase and nearly every game from here on out has big stakes.
The Indianapolis Colts got back to .500 with a 41-10 win over the New York Jets on Monday Night Football. That vaults them into a three-way tie with the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans atop the AFC South.
Week 13 has no shortage of games featuring teams trying to solidify their postseason positioning. The Atlanta Falcons were about to seal a win over Kansas City when the first pick-two to ever be scored in the NFL gave the Chiefs the win. The Baltimore Ravens held on to the AFC North pole with a convincing win over the once-red-hot Miami Dolphins. The Green Bay Packers were completely at home in the snow as they continued to build on their momentum with a win over the Houston Texans, whose lead in the AFC South is slowly slipping away.
The late afternoon slate featured the Oakland Raiders coming back from two scores back to beat the Buffalo Bills. Khalil Mack was a monster on defense for the Raiders, whose offense also kicked into gear in the second half to reclaim to No. 1 seed in the AFC at 10-2.
The Steelers held off the Giants to keep pace with the Ravens atop the AFC North, while the Buccaneers beat the Chargers to leapfrog Washington for the sixth seed in the NFC. Washington fell to the Cardinals in Arizona.
This week’s Sunday Night Football game doesn’t look as exciting as it did in August, with the Seattle Seahawks hosting a fading Carolina Panthers team. It was more of the same on Sunday night, with the Seahawks blasting the Panthers 40-7.
