2016 NFL Combine results: Full numbers, times for running back workouts, drills

The running backs are done in Indianapolis, and here are the full results.

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

The running backs came and went at the 2016 NFL Combine in Indianapolis. They were among the first group of players to arrive, along with the offensive linemen and special teamers, and they were among the first to see the field for workouts, drills and other position-specific measurements.

The running backs went through the bench press on Thursday, and on Friday took part in the 40-yard dash, the 3-cone drill, the short shuttle and the 60-yard shuttle. They also measured their jumping in the broad jump and the vertical jump.

Not every player took part in every drill, but the big names were in action. Derrick Henry, one of the top backs in the class, measured out every bit as the imposing running back he was known as with Alabama. He also posted good times in the 40-yard dash (4.54  seconds) and measured out well in other key areas on top of that. Ezekiel Elliott, the back out of Ohio State, took part in the 40-yard dash and posted a solid time of 4.47 seconds, but did not take part in the bench press or any of the shuttles or cone drills.

Keith Marshall of Georgia led the way in the 40-yard dash, posting a time of 4.31 seconds, while fullbacks Dan Vitale and Andy Janovich impressed with 30 reps in the bench press apiece. Wendell Smallwood put up the best time in the 3-cone drill at 6.83 seconds.

It was an impressive day overall and below we have the full results for running backs on Friday.
